About this Role: as the Community Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing iKamper’s community of enthusiasts both online and in-person. Online, you will assist and grow our community by developing a forum on iKamper.com and interacting with members on other platforms as well: Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and more. You will also organize events at our headquarters and plan larger get-togethers with hundreds of iKamper members around the country. Throughout all interactions, you will always be positive, respectful, inclusive, and kind. Along with a love for traveling and the outdoors, you will bring passion for people, hard work and improvement. iKamper is rapidly growing: succeed in this role and continue to grow with us.

What You’ll Do:

  • Interact with members on a daily basis through online platforms

  • Answer their questions and provide updates

  • Search for ways to reach new members

  • Develop a new platform on iKamper.com for members to interact

  • Organize monthly events at iKamper’s headquarters, inviting leaders in the outdoor industry to speak and share, inviting members to meet and participate

  • Plan and organize large-scale events in WA and beyond, bringing together hundreds of iKamper members

  • Develop new content to be shared with our community

  • Have an active role in giving back to our community through service

  • Meet and greet customers when they visit the store

  • Effectively communicate with the customer service and sales teams

  • Maximize productivity, profitability, and constantly strive for improvement

  • Offer unique and innovative solutions to each problem

  • Learn, grow, and progress within the company

Requirements:

  • Passionate, self-motivated, and positive

  • Genuine passion for people and for helping others

  • Experience in hospitality and event management

  • Personal experience showcasing the power of community

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • 4-year college degree in Business, English, or related field

  • 2+ years of customer service OR related experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and relationship management skills

  • Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)

  • MS Office expert, Basic Adobe Suite skills preferred

  • Active lifestyle, interested in the outdoors (preferably in overlanding)
